Sailing Around Cortes Island, BC

There’s a ton of BC that is inaccessible without a boat or plane. My family has been going sailing off the coast of BC every summer since I can remember. I make it out there less and less every year, but last year and this year I was able to join my folks for a week. And this year Maggie came too.IMG_9602 IMG_9617

Maggie brought a wave of fresh energy to the crew. Every experience was a new one: hunting for oysters, digging for clams, catching crabs, and fishing.IMG_9627 IMG_9632 IMG_9641 IMG_9650

From a waterfall in Teakerne Arm, we hiked up a short trail to a beautiful warm lake- perfect for swimming.IMG_9658 IMG_9666
