I had the great fortune to be invited to get involved with Lawn Summer Nights this July in Vancouver, BC. LSN is a “community of like-minded young professionals who support those living with Cystic Fibrosis.” By being part of a charity lawn bowling tournament that spans four Thursdays in July, teams of four participate by raising money and competing for donated prizes, “making the most of the moments that life provides.” Originating in Vancouver, BC, in the memory of Eva Markvoort, Lawn Summer Nights has now expanded across the country, with 5 participating cities, and no end in sight.
Part of the fun of joining a team is coming up with a witty team name and coordinated team outfits. I had the pleasure to photograph all of the beautiful participants and volunteers for week 2 and week 3 at the Granville Park Lawn Bowls Club. This year Lawn Summer Nights raised over $275,000 for Cystic Fibrosis! Donate here.
